We are pleased to share that the Sensirion project in Debrecen received 1st place in the Operational Small Projects category at the Financial Times fDi Intelligence Investment Impact Awards 2026. The award highlights operational, high value-added investments where technological excellence, knowledge intensity, and sustainable operations are decisive evaluation criteria.
SZINORG’s role: build-to-suit development and long-term value creation
This recognition is particularly meaningful for us, as the project was delivered as a build-to-suit development through the joint cooperation of SZINORG Group and its investment partner. Construction was carried out by HUNÉP Plc, our flagship construction company, delivering future-ready industrial infrastructure aligned with the client’s long-term operational requirements.
Sustainability in practice: solutions designed for fossil-free operation
Sustainability was a prominent element of the assessment, and the completed facility—together with its supporting technical solutions—played an important role in the project’s overall performance. Systems enabling fossil-free operation, advanced building automation, and solutions designed to improve resource efficiency demonstrate how a development-led approach and high-quality execution can jointly create real value recognised on an international stage.
